The Russian Time team was founded in 2013 and became the first Russian participant in the prestigious GP2 series. The team won the championship in its very first season, scoring five wins and 273 points. After a complete staff change,
Russian Time stayed a front running outfit in the 2014 GP2 series.
The 2014 season was even more significant for the team with the signing of Russian driver
Artem Markelov. The team got six podiums and 5th result in 2014, and continued racing in GP2 series with an unchanged line-up in the 2015 season. With both drivers scoring points in 2015 races, Russian Time repeated the result - 5th place in the championship. In 2016 the team has changed the GP2 line-up for Raffaele Marciello, Italy, and Artem Markelov, Russia, and got the 3rd place in Teams standings.
In 2017 Team Russian Time became the Formula 2 Champion with Artem Markelov (Russia) and Luca Giotto (Italy). Artem Markelov got the 2nd place in Formula 2 Drivers standings.
The team got 4th place in Teams standings in 2018 (4 wins and 8 podiums) with Artem Markelov and young Japanese driver Tadasuke Makino, who won his first F2 race in Monza 2018.
