Red Bull Ring Qualifying: P5 and P6

Russian Time will start the GP2 feature race at the scenic Red Bull Ring well-placed to defend its lead in both the drivers' and teams' championship after series leader Artem Markelov (1m14.099s) and Raffaele Marciello (1m14.184s) both qualified solidly in the top six.

After recording fourth and fifth quickest times in morning practice, the Russian Time pair maintained the challenge in qualifying, Markelov missing fourth place by just 0.008s.

Artem Markelov: «We had strong pace throughout both practice and qualifying on a circuit that I like. Braking is very important here and I'm looking forward to a competitive race at a track where I finished fifth in the feature race last year from 15th on the grid.»

Raffaele Marciello: «I think we are in good shape for another strong performance to follow up Baku. There have been some alterations to the kerbing this year and as we saw in the F1 sessions, you need to be precise to observe track limits and avoid damaging the car. We are in a good position to score more strong points in tomorrow's race»

Svetlana Strelnikova (Team principal): «It is a relatively short lap here in Austria and the times are close, with just half a second covering the top six on the grid. Both Artem and Lello have been in the fight all day and I'm hopeful that Russian Time can maintain its consistent scoring record in tomorrow's feature race.»
