One more podium for Raffaele

Italian Raffaele Marciello scored a strong second place for Russian Time in the Sepang sprint race in Malaysia, finishing just 0.69s behind race-winning compatriot Luca Ghiotto.

Team mate Artem Markelov, starting from the back of the grid after being unable to take part in Saturday's race due to an electrical problem, turned in a fighting performance to finish in the top 10 on the road, but  dropped to 13th in the final classification after race stewards adjudged that he had caused a collision with Sergio Canamasas.

Raffaele Marciello: Today the car was good and I was able to catch Luca and almost pass him, but it was a bit tricky to stay close enough through the high-speed sections to take advantage of the DRS. If the race had run another couple of laps maybe I would have passed him but second is still okay for the championship. The first two positions look out of reach but it helps me to try to secure a place in the top three.

Artem Markelov: I did everything I could from the back of the grid and my quickest race lap was competitive with my team mate, so from that point of view it was a strong race. I had to take opportunities when they presented themselves and that was what I was trying to do at Turn 5. My aim now is to finish the year as strongly as possible in Abu Dhabi.

Svetlana Strelnikova (Team principal): That was another strong performance from Lello, who has now scored points in 18 out of 20 starts that year. Such consistency has brought us to within six points of second place in the championship, which will be our target in Abu Dhabi. Artem again showed his bravery. You have to admire his spirit! To finish within 20s of the winner on the road, from the back, was a great effort.
